Governor Joe Lombardo and Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony Endorse Sheriff Lee Orozco
FALLON, Nev. — Sheriff Lee Orozco announced today that Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo and Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony have endorsed his campaign to continue serving as Churchill County Sheriff. Governor Lombardo, who served more than three decades in law enforcement, including as Sheriff of Clark County, before becoming Nevada’s governor, cited Orozco’s experience, leadership, and commitment to public safety.

With three decades of law enforcement experience, Lee has dedicated his career to protecting Churchill County and serving its families. He is a proven leader who understands what it takes to support our law enforcement officers, keep our communities safe, and lead with integrity.”

Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony, who also served almost three decades in law enforcement, announced his support for Orozco, emphasizing his commitment to the people of Churchill County.

“I am honored to endorse Sheriff Orozco. His commitment to serving the residents of Churchill County is exemplary, ensuring the safety of both tourists and residents.”

Orozco said receiving the support of two statewide leaders with extensive public safety experience carries special significance. “I am honored to have the endorsement of Governor Lombardo and Lieutenant Governor Anthony,” Orozco said. “Both understand firsthand the responsibility that comes with protecting Nevada’s communities, supporting the men and women who serve in law enforcement, and leading a law enforcement organization. Their confidence in my leadership means a great deal to me.”

Orozco has served the Churchill County community for three decades, working throughout the Sheriff’s Office in detention, patrol, narcotics and criminal investigations, supervision, command, and executive leadership before becoming Sheriff.

“Churchill County has been my home and the Sheriff’s Office has been my life’s work,” Orozco said. “My commitment is to continue strengthening the Sheriff’s Office, recruiting and retaining quality deputies, developing the next generation of leaders, improving our 911 services, and investing in technology that helps our deputies do their jobs more effectively and keeps our community safer.”

Orozco is seeking to continue serving as Churchill County Sheriff.
